Work Environment

Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
Heated and comfortable with fans in the summer.

What is the size of the team I'd be working with?
Small teams with 1 advisor for each 4 techs

What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
Techs work 4 ten-hour shifts 7am - 6pm with an hour lunch. 3 day weekends!!

What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
All Mopar specialty tools and scanners/laptops/computers are provided. Techs are required to have their own boxes and necessary tools.

What type of break room facility is provided?
Comfortable heated and air-conditioned break room with microwave and refrigerator.

How many bays does your shop have?
19

How many repair orders do you average per month?
1200

What is your parts ordering process?
Tech enters parts requisitions via the computer and pick up at counter in shop.

What is your policy on side work?
We do not allow side work to be done on site as it is an insurance issue.

Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
We have a small-town family feel in our shop and work together! Primadonnas are discouraged!

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
Shop pays for completed and passed ASEs. Shop pays for MFG training both on site and off premise including Travel, Lodging, Food, and time at class.

Our mission statement is Growth Powered By People! How far you go depends on you and your drive. We have had many techs become service managers and service managers become fixed operations directors and even general managers!

Performance Reviews are each done at service manager's discretion.

What type of safety training is required?
Monthly safety meetings. On-line safety training at hire. Safety committee on site.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Our senior technicians are afforded the opportunity to mentor new and upcoming techs.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?
All Lithia stores are very involved in community events. Lithia Motors Inc. has great national community involvement including Lithia 4 Kids.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?
Our local stores and national recruiters are very involved with local High School vocational programs. Lithia Motors Inc. is a preferred employer at all national vocational schools.

Hiring Process

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?
Applicants are phone screened by a recruiter and then an in person or phone interview is scheduled with the service manager.

What do your in-person interviews entail?
One on one question and answer with the service manager and shop foreman if available.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant? 
Assessments may be conducted prior to offer. Background, MVR and Drug Screens are conducted after offer and with hire being contingent to outcome.

Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?
There are some assessments that are performed online.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?
We try to keep in contact with our candidates, and a rejection or offer is usually made within a week.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?
Depending on the number of applicants it usually takes less than a week.
Compensation

A Level Technician Pay Range: $58,520.00 - $72,800.00/year
Relocation negotiable. Up to 10k signing bonus for Chrysler Masters

B Level Technician Pay Range: $37,440.00 - $57,000.00/year
Relocation and Sign on/ Stay on bonuses negotiable for Chrysler certified techs

C Level Technician Pay Range: $30,000.00 - S36,000.00/year
We actively train our C level technicians with the goal of achieving master status ASAP

Service Advisor Pay Range: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00/year
We give our advisors generous pay plans that promote good customer service and customer retention.

Lube Technician Pay Range: $25,000.00 - S26,000.00/year
We use our lube center for training and intend on our lube techs to obtain training and experience to enable them to move up into the main shop
